Kevan Chandler grew up in North Carolina. The youngest of three, he was the second in his family to be diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. He has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Counseling from John Wesley University. With this degree, he has worked in prisons and drug rehabilitation centers around the southeast United States, as well as recently speaking nationwide.
An avid storyteller, he is author of five books, including The View From Here, a memoir of the We Carry Kevan team’s adventure across Europe. Kevan is also the founder of We Carry Kevan Inc., a nonprofit striving to redefine accessibility as a cooperative effort.
